Arrival Day - Night #1
Saturday, February 27th,2027 you have arrived to your greatest adventure of your life

Guests arrive to Kilimanjaro Airport, where Nancy, your concierge,  along our amazing guides, will be waiting to whisk you away to Mt. Meru Game Lodge for a late night meal and tuck you into bed, you weary traveler.  You have arrived
Mt Meru Game Lodge is perfect for our tour, The Lodge and Sanctuary date back to 1959, when Hungarian-born Dr Andreas Von Nagy, an alumnus of a wildlife management college in Germany, bought the property as a family home, quickly turning the grounds into an animal Sanctuary, which also served as a training facility for students. He set up the Mount Meru Wildlife Reserve (today, part of Arusha National Park) to help protect the fauna on Mount Meru and assisted the Tanzanian Government in establishing a Wildlife College. His home and passion attracted visitors from far and wide, rooms were added to accommodate his visitors, and the Mount Meru Game Lodge was born.
Don't you think this a perfect start for an American Wildlife Rescue to start an adventure?

The Datoga (or Datooga) are a semi-nomadic, pastoralist, and agro-pastoralist tribe in northern Tanzania, known as skilled blacksmiths and fierce warriors. Residing mainly near Lake Eyasi, they originate from South Sudan and are distinct for their unique facial scarification, traditional attire, and resistance to modern cultural changes, often living in isolation.
The Hadzabe (or Hadza) are an
indigenous hunter-gatherer ethnic group of approximately 1,300–1,500 people living near Lake Eyasi in Tanzania. As one of Africa's last true hunter-gatherer societies, they live in nomadic, egalitarian groups, hunting with handmade bows and foraging for tubers and fruit, having maintained this lifestyle for thousands of years.

This attracts an abundance of predators at this time, too. The forests and granite kopjes around Lake Ndutu are home to a variety of wildlife year round also, making for prime game viewing throughout the year.  Be on the lookout for the six wildcat species that inhabit the Ndutu region - lion, cheetah, leopard, serval ,African wild cat and caracal. are present throughout the year, they are beautiful to see in the wild.  And by now you'll be acquainted with the resident genets who keep a watchful eye on your dinner from the rafters above - a very unique trademark of this special camp!
